Welcome Bags

I spent the weekend making these affordable little fabric bags for all of the attendees of the upcoming Create! Escape! Scrapbook Retreat. Yes, I am a little insane, but it was well worth the effort, since they turned out great.  These welcome bags will be filled with surprise goodies.

Now that the Strides Crop is over, I’m on to the next thing. New Artwork Posted

I am happy to finally share some artwork I have been working on.

In honor of the 27″ of snowfall so far this winter, I felt a “Winter Wonderland” mini album was in order.  This album is made from the CTMH My Creation All-Sorts Mini Album and Aspen Scrapbooking Kit.

Those cute little sparkling brads are a new product and super fun to use. They are our Twinkle Brads Jolly Assortment.  I just love the subtle bling they add to any project!

This album is a 4 x 6 mini album called, My Captured Moments Mini Album.  I made it using Vellum paper, textured cardstock, and pattern patter.  I made the  binding using the Japanese stab binding technique.  I will be teaching this class at my Book of the Month club in February.

I may also teach this class at our Spring Scrapbooking Retreat.  More information will be posted regarding that event!

New Retreat Website

Even though my spring retreat is still 8 months away, I am constantly planning, preparing, and creating! Right now I have updated all of my information on a new website. You will find everything you need to know about my retreat here.

Spring 2010 Scrapbooking Retreat

It is hard to believe that next spring will be the NINTH retreat I have hosted!

Unbelievable, huh?  I have been hosting scrapbooking retreats since 2005, and this spring will mark my NINTH retreat!

Over the years, I have had seven states represented… Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Wisconsin, Maryland, and Nebraska.   There are several people who have perfect attendance and have attended ALL eight of my previous retreats!

If you have never attended one of my retreats before, you have no idea what you are missing!  Friends, fun, games, contests, workshops, and of course, scrapbooking!  Plus much more!  Come and see why people keep coming back year after year, and why they travel from so far to attend my retreats!

For the record, I tried to schedule it at noon or even 2:00, but they have a school group using the room until 3:00, so the earliest we could arrive is 5:00, sorry 8-(.

• minimum of a six-foot workspace for each attendee

Policies:

• Payment must be made in full to guarantee space
• Payment must be received 30 days prior to the event (April 14, 2010)
• No registration will be taken after April 14, 2010
• Registration fees for cancellations prior to April 14, 2010 will be made in full
• Refunds for cancellations between  April 14 and May 3 will be 50% of total registration fee
• Registration fees for cancellations after Monday, May 3, 2010 will not be refunded
• There will be a $25 service fee for returned checks

Save the date

for my Fall 2010 retreat.  To celebrate my 10 Retreat Anniversary, we are extending the stay!  We are having a THREE night retreat.  We will start on Thursday and end on Sunday.  You will have ALL DAY on Friday and ALL DAY on Saturday, plus Thursday night and Sunday morning!  Put it on your calendar NOW!  I have a feeling this retreat will be the most popular yet, so let me know if you are interested, so I can save your space.  The dates are September 30 – October 3, 2010.   More details will be coming soon!

Weekend Scrapbook Retreat

3 days away!!!!  The greatest scrapbooking retreat in Nebraska, located between Lincoln and Omaha, is this weekend!  I hope you are all geared up and ready for a fantastic weekend of creating!  For those who are unable to attend, I will try to post updates throughout the weekend!

The retreat is only two weeks away! I am sure everyone is busy organizing and getting ready! I often get the question, “What should I bring to Retreat?”

My packing list often changes depending on what projects I intend to work on, but the basic list is pretty constant.
