Kids are out-of-school for Fall Break. I am taking off 1/2 of Wed, Thurs, and Fri to do some fun stuff with them; go to the pumpkin patch, carve pumpkins, bake Halloween cookies, etc. Also, some not so fun stuff; rake the yard, clean the house, do laundry, yuck!
We are within days of being ready to put our house on the market. After living here for 7 years, we are going to sell our house. It comes with mixed emotions. This is my first house I owned. This is the house that we brought both Paige and Reid home from the hospital to. It is in a neighborhood full of friends who we will miss. All of which makes me a little sad to leave. However, I am excited to move on to the next chapter of home-ownership.
And speaking of next chapters, starting January 1, my husband, John, is taking over ownership of the business he has been working at for the last 11 years. He is going to be the president and owner of Datastor Solutions. This is both exciting and nerve-racking at the same time. We are thrilled about the opportunities ahead.
Madeline has been accepted into her Study-Abroad program at school. She is going back to Germany over spring break next March (for the second year in a row). She is thrilled to be going back to a country she truly loves and admires.
Paige is working hard at her dance and cheer season. She is at the studio three nights a week. She is mastering new skills every day! It is so exciting to watch her grow and develop.
Reid is going to be three next month. Hard to believe my baby is going to be a three-year-old. If anyone has any advice about potty training a boy, let me know. Right now, he wants nothing to do with it! Don’t judge! Boys are difficult.
I am getting excited about the busy fall just ahead. The holidays are always so exciting. This winter, I will be doing some light traveling for work, including a trip to Dallas/Fort Worth in January, Louisville, KY in March, and Chicago in April. We are also taking the little kids to Disney World over spring break in March (while Madeline heads to Germany).
