I want to share some amazing artwork created by some very talented members of my team.  We had a craft exchange at our meeting last night to celebrate the ending of another year.

This beautiful handmade glass ornament, by Shirley H., was decorated on the inside with another hand crafted ornament cut using the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.  I love how she filled it with”snow” and made it glisten.  Very beautiful!  This will look gorgeous on my tree.

The “ducky” Christmas cards were hand drawn, one-of-a-kind creations by Chris B.  Chris is known for her hand drawn ducks and they are a team favorite.  They are such a special treat and, I hate to admit being this selfish, but I won’t be able to part with these.  These cards will not be sent out.

The calendar idea came from Thea S. and she walked us through the instructions of creating our own 2012 calendar.  I love how mine turned out, even though it is still missing pictures.  The calendar has a little dimension to it, and you pull the different months out from the top and slide them back in.  Great idea, Thea.

Thanks so much, ladies, for all the laughs, smiles, tears, and joy these past several years.  I am looking forward to another great year of friendship and comradery ahead.

With great respect,
Jessie

Gift Card holders

Here is a very quick, simple, and elegant way to give gift cards this Christmas, or any time of the year.

These are the cards I made for my Unit Christmas swap tonight.  I made the 3-dimensional poinsettias using the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge, which I stamped, folded, and added the gold glitz to the center.  The cards measure 5″ x 2 3/4″ after they are folded.  If you would like instructions to make these cards, shoot me am email, or comment on this blog.

If you need a fun, creative, and thoughtful way to give gift cards this year, try these super cute cards.

Happy stamping,
Jessie

Happy December One!

Ready or not… December is here!

We have a great special coming up later this month, and another wonderful Stamp of the Month set to share with you.

———————————-

December Stamp of the Month

Close To My Heart’s December Stamp of the Month is beautiful and timely…Valentine’s Day is just around the corner.  It’s hard to believe, but true.

When you spend $50 in one order during December, this gorgeous stamp set ($17.95 value) is yours for only $5!  WOO HOO!   Of course, you can also purchase it at it’s full retail value of $17.95, but why do that when you can shop for great products AND get this stamp set for only $5?

I also wanted to point out that this stamp set has any images that coordinate with the oh-so-wonderful CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Collection too!.

See the designs that are outlined (the ‘ticket’, the two harts, the circular shape)?   Well, that outline tells you that it is a shape that coordinates with the Art Philosophy Cartridge.

One the carrier sheet of the set (actual size of the sheet is 6″ x 6″), it tells you exactly what size to cut the shape on your Cricut so that it works perfectly to stamp on.  How cool is that!

You can get this stamp set in one of two ways:

  • you can get one for $5 for every $50 you spend (before shipping and tax. You’ll be prompted to add it at the end of your order if you are ordering on my website. )
  • you can purchase it for it’s full retail price of $17.95 (use order #S1112)

You’re going to love the Collage Cubes and the Rock the Block stamp set, which work together for interactive, 3-D fun.

Art Philosophy art

17 Nov

I have to admit to something… I just bought my first Cricut Machine a couple months ago.   I was a Wishblade turned into Pazzel user.  I was happy with that machine and loved the versatility.  Then Close To My Heart came out with the Art Philosophy cartridge and I was amazed by the incredible artwork that others were making with this one simple cartridge.  So, I bought the machine, and the CTMH exclusive cartridge and I just can’t get enough of it.

Here is what I am talking about…

Over 700 images

Coordinating with stamped images

Three-demensional elements

Some amazing artwork

Check out my Pinterest board to see for yourself.

I have looked into buying additional cartridges since I have purchased AP,  and I cannot find any that I really need right now.  That’s saying something.

If you would like to see how you could earn free scrapbooking and stamping supplies, contact me.

What’s going on in November…. TONS!

3 Nov

I am back in town after a quick 7 hour road trip to southern Missouri to meet with my colleges in the college conference and event planning industry.  It was a great meeting, but a long drive.  And, Saturday, I’m heading out west.  I will be in San Jose & San Fransisco, California for another work-related trip from Saturday through Thursday.  Hopefully, I will get a chance to check in here and there, but if not, here is everything going on with CTMH and in my scrapbooking world!

Project 12 Club

And, finally, I am planning a BRAND New club for 2012

Project 12 is going to be my new monthly scrapbooking club for 2012.  It will be a monthly project-based class, where we complete even more meaningful and heartfelt scrapbooks in the next year!  We will create 12 projects, in 12 months, in 2012.  We will be creating mini albums, journals, scrapbook layouts, themed albums, and much more.  You will also get additional project ideas to create on your own!

For some examples of the types of projects we will be creating in Project 12, check out other posts on this blog!

Being a part of Project 12 you will receive:

  • Monthly class with all of the supplies needed to complete the project
  • Monthly themes to encourage, motivate, and inspire you.
  • Monthly tool list of what suggested tools you may need to bring; although there will be some tools available during class for you to use, it’s helpful to bring some tools for personal use.
  • Colorful handout with step-by-step instructions
  • Motivational emails
  • Additional coordinating project ideas
  • Monthly door prize drawings and giveaways for those in attendance
  • $25 in free Close To My Heart products of your choice during one month of 2012
  • 2 free Close To My Hear Catalogs for 2012 (SpringSummer Catalog and Fall/Winter Catalog)
  • 1 free CTMH ink pad in your choice of color.

So, now what?

There are two options for this club.

  • Face to Face Club – You are welcome into my home, on the 3rd Thursday of each month, from 6:30 until 9:00 pm to learn, first hand, how to create this project.  I have enough space for 8 people, so register quickly.  The Club Meeting is offered for the low, low price of $15 per month!  This is so cheap!  You will receive much more than $15 per month in products and supplies, plus a free class to attend!  This is a fabulous deal!
  • Online Version – If you prefer to scrapbook in your PJs in front of the TV, if you are busy Tuesday nights, or if you are not local to this area, the online version may be for you.  You will receive your products shipped to you each month, with everything you need to create the project.  There will also be occasional online tutorials to help!  The Online Club is still the low price of $15, but you will also be charged for shipping and handling.

Email me and let me know which club you would like to sign up for.  I have two spaces left for the Tuesday night time slot, so act quickly.

If you have any questions, please let me know!  I am super excited for this club, and I can’t wait go get more scrapbooking done in this next year!

Whew!  So, that is what is going on at this  moment.  As you can tell, there is a lot going on and something for everyone!  I hope there is something you are interested in, and if so please let me know!    Also, feel free to contact me at jessiebrophy110@gmail.com with any questions!

No matter where your travels lead you, have a joyful journey!

Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge

13 Oct

Has anyone been reading Jeanette Lynton’s blog this month?

Jeanette is the founder of Close To My Heart and has been posting a “Shape-A-Day” from the new CTMH exclusive Cricut Cartridge.

I love the project she did yesterday.   This is my new favorite and MOST used cartridge I own.  There are over 700 shapes, and it is so versatile. I just can’t get enough of it!  If you noticed, all of the shapes on the front of my Year-In-Review Album box that I posted previously are made using the Art Philosophy cartridge.

To see more of the amazing artwork created using the Art Philosophy cartridge, check out Jeanette’s blog here.

Enjoy!
